A new specialty shop in Moss, Norway, is already making waves in the collectible card game world after a remarkably successful opening day. Stall Corner AS, a marketplace for Pokémon cards, saw brisk business on Saturday, March 14, 2026, culminating in the sale of a single Pokémon card for 14,000 kroner – roughly $1,300 USD.

The shop, located in Varnaveien, initially plans to operate for nine days in March, but owner Tommi Valtteri Lahtela reported a bustling atmosphere from the start. According to a Facebook post from Moss Avis, customers were parking on both sides of the street to access the store.

The surge in Pokémon card values has been a growing trend, with rare cards fetching increasingly high prices. As reported by NRK, some cards have seen their value increase by thousands of kroner in the past year, and the market is attracting both collectors and investors.

The demand for Pokémon cards isn’t limited to Norway, with reports of chaotic scenes at product launches in the United States. This growing interest suggests the Pokémon card market is a dynamic space, offering opportunities for those looking to collect or invest in these increasingly valuable collectibles. The success of Stall Corner AS’s opening day indicates a strong local appetite for the hobby.

Moss Avis reported that Lahtela described the first day with a physical storefront as a success.
