Rimini, March 15, 2026 – A four-year-old Ukrainian girl died unexpectedly at the ‘Infermi’ Hospital in Rimini yesterday morning, leaving her family and medical staff devastated. The child, who resided with her parents in the province of Rimini, experienced a sudden deterioration in her health after initially presenting with a fever.
Initial Visit for Fever
The girl was brought to the hospital’s pediatric emergency department on Friday evening at 9:30 PM, reporting a fever that began around 6:00 PM. Medical personnel assessed her vital signs, finding them within normal limits, and also evaluated her cardiovascular, pulmonary, abdominal, and neurological functions, all of which appeared healthy.
Blood tests were conducted, and did not indicate an infection. According to reports, the fever responded quickly to acetaminophen.
Brief Observation and Discharge
Despite the improvement, the child was kept under observation for several hours. After remaining in stable condition, she was discharged around 12:45 AM.
Sudden Health Decline
However, in the early hours of Saturday morning, her condition unexpectedly worsened. Her parents contacted emergency medical services, who initiated transport to the hospital. She arrived at the Rimini emergency room at 6:35 AM.
Medical teams immediately began resuscitation efforts, including a doctor specializing in critical care, a pediatrician, and an emergency room physician. They worked tirelessly for over an hour, attempting to restore vital functions.
