Vienna – Fuel prices across Austria saw a slight decrease Sunday, offering a small reprieve to drivers. The average price of a liter of diesel fuel fell to 1.939 euros, down from 1.946 euros the previous day, according to data released Monday by the country’s regulatory authority, E-Control.
Super gasoline also became marginally cheaper, with the average price dropping to 1.727 euros per liter, compared to 1.734 euros on Saturday. Motorists looking for the lowest prices can use the E-Control fuel price calculator to find the cheapest stations near them.
The price adjustments, even as modest, come as consumers continue to face elevated energy costs. The E-Control tool allows users to search for gas stations by address or region, displaying the five cheapest options for diesel, Super95, and CNG natural gas. The calculator also provides additional information about each station, including opening hours and shop offerings.
