Radio 538 is launching a recent weekend program featuring Julia van Reyendam and Martijn la Grouw. The duo will be on air every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, beginning this coming weekend.
Van Reyendam announced the news via social media. After 3.5 years hosting weekend mornings, she is transitioning to a new timeslot. According to the DJ, presenting as a duo feels like a natural progression. “The chemistry I have with Martijn on the radio is unique. Sometimes you come across something where you feel: we just have to do this,” she wrote.
The presenter emphasized that her ambition to build a solo career in radio remains, but she is as well consciously exploring new formats. “In this industry, you have to keep discovering and give yourself different opportunities.”
In addition to the new program, Van Reyendam will continue to host a solo show on Sunday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Floris Molenaar is leaving the overnight slot and will be on air every Monday through Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM starting March 23. The winner of this year’s Marconi Talent Award will take over the position previously held by Martijn La Grouw. Molenaar will also continue to be heard on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 PM onwards.
