Stéphane Bern, the popular host of “Secrets d’Histoire” and recently seen on “Danse avec les Stars,” has added another role to his resume: local politician. He secured his seat on the council of the small village of Thiron-Gardais in a landslide victory.

Bern’s “Ensemble pour l’avenir” list received 100% of the votes on Sunday, March 16, 2026. The television personality, who was fifth on the list, was re-elected in the first round. He was first elected to the council in March 2024, receiving 97.3% of the vote following the resignation of the former mayor, Victor Provôt, according to reports.

The win highlights Bern’s continued popularity beyond the screen, demonstrating his appeal to local voters. He purchased a former royal and military college in Thiron-Gardais in 2013, restoring it and transforming it into a museum and has been a resident since 2021. The election results reveal a strong show of support for Bern and his vision for the future of the community.
