A new Turkish drama series, “İstanbul Hatırası” (Istanbul Memoir), is already generating significant buzz as one of the most anticipated digital projects on the horizon. The 8-episode series, produced by ANS Productions and Evrensel Productions and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abdullah Oğuz, has added another prominent name to its cast.
Following the previously announced casting of Nejat İşler, Bilal Yiğit Koçak, Simay Barlas, Cem Davran, and Tülin Özen, actor Deniz Celiloğlu has joined the production.
HE WILL PLAY NAMIK KARAMAN
According to reports, Deniz Celiloğlu will portray the character of “Namık Karaman” in the series, which centers on Chief Inspector Nevzat and his team as they investigate seven murders in Istanbul’s historic districts.
Namık is described as a compelling figure connected to Leyla Barkın (Tülin Özen), the lover of Necdet Denizel, the archaeologist who was the first victim in the “İstanbul Hatırası” novel, and is considered a person of interest in the investigation.
