Nintendo has updated its Nintendo Switch game compatibility list for the Nintendo Switch 2 following the release of update 22.0.0. The new revision, which also includes an enhanced Portable Mode, brings seven Switch games into full compatibility on the Switch 2, while two now function with issues and five are now incompatible.
All Games with Changed Status on Switch 2
One of the most significant additions in this update is DOOM 2016, which previously experienced some issues and is now fully resolved. But, the 22.0.0 firmware update has introduced some problems for Pizza Tower, a highly-regarded indie title on the Switch. The growing list of compatible titles demonstrates Nintendo’s commitment to a smooth transition for players upgrading to the new console.
Games now fully compatible:
- Botany Manor
- Dadish
- Dariusburst: Another Chronicle EX+
- DARIUSBURST CS CORE + TAITO/SEGA Pack
- DOOM (2016)
- Earnest Evans Collection
- Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Games with problems:
- Pizza Tower: Variable behavior compared to Switch
- Laysara: Summit Kingdom: Variable behavior compared to Switch
Games now incompatible:
- Hoop Shoot
- Roman Rumble in Las Vegum – Asterix & Obelix XXL 2
- Summer Games Challenge – Jumping & Shooting
- Summer Games Challenge – Running

Nintendo continues to refine compatibility with each update, aiming to ensure that nearly the entire Switch catalog functions on its successor. Players can check the status of their games through the official compatibility website, which Nintendo keeps updated.
