Kyoto, Japan will host BitSummit PUNCH, an indie game exhibition, from May 22nd to May 24th, organizers announced on March 19th. The event’s initial stage event details reveal a lineup featuring prominent figures from the gaming industry and virtual YouTubers.
BitSummit PUNCH’s stage program will include collaborative live performances by celebrated game composers, a memorial event honoring legendary developers, and a special stage featuring popular virtual YouTubers. This event underscores the growing intersection of gaming and digital entertainment.
On May 23rd, the second day of the event, “Musou Infinity,” a band comprised of influential figures in the gaming world, will perform alongside Mumei, a Gen Z influencer with over 7 million followers. “Musou Infinity” boasts a stellar roster including Harumi Fujita, composer for Rockman 3, Kenji Ito, known for his work on the Romancing SaGa series, Takaya Imamura, character designer for Star Fox and The Legend of Zelda, and Koichi Morita, composer for Shining Star.
The final day, May 24th, will be dedicated to “KENJI ENO 55 Memorial Live,” a tribute to the late Kenji Eno, a game developer renowned for titles like D’s Diner and Enemy Zero. Violinist Shauno Isomura and pianist Katsutoshi Ishigaki will perform, recreating the worlds and music from Eno’s games.
