The Talagante native displayed a high level of play, convincingly defeating Argentina’s Marina Bulbarella with a score of 6-0 and 6-2. The nation’s second-ranked player controlled the match from start to finish and confirmed her strong form on the circuit.

Labraña will now face Spain’s Sara Dols in a compelling matchup as she pursues a spot in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Antonia Vergara fell to Luciana Moyano in three sets and Agustina Soto lost to Carla Markus, both being eliminated from the tournament.

The quarterfinals will be played this Friday starting at 11:00 hours in Santiago. The tournament offers $15,000 in prize money and WTA ranking points, as part of an effort to boost women’s tennis in Chile.
