Rafael Araneda regresará al Festival de Viña del Mar 2027 alongside Karen Doggenweiler, despite reports suggesting a potential replacement. La Tercera reported that his contract was renewed after two years. While Araneda mentioned a “end of cycle,” organizers expressed their desire to work with him again.

Rafael Araneda is set to return as host of the Festival de Viña del Mar 2027 alongside Karen Doggenweiler, despite earlier reports that the organization was considering a new face for the role.

As reported by La Tercera, his contract was renewed after expiring in February, following an initial two-year term.

Previously, organizers clarified that Araneda was not ruled out, even after he alluded to a “end of cycle” with the recently concluded edition.

Daniel Merino and Juan Pablo González, the main organizers of Viña 2026, had previously stated that they “would love” to work with him again.

Confirmation from the television network is still pending, but an official announcement of the agreement is expected “soon,” which would mark Araneda’s eleventh time hosting the event.
