Gas Prices Rise Amid Iran Conflict – Boosting Democrats, Hurting Trump

Gasoline prices have risen across all states since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran in late February. The situation is creating a political opportunity for Democrats, who are now on the offensive.

“Instead of working to lower costs for our families, the current administration has initiated a war with Iran that has already cost American lives and caused prices at the pump to increase,” Democratic Congressman Vicente Gonzalez of Texas wrote in a post on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter. Texas is expected to be a key battleground state in the November election.

The largest price increases have been concentrated in states that typically favor Republican candidates. The rising costs are raising concerns about a potential decline in support for former President Trump, which could significantly impact upcoming elections. A sense of panic is reportedly building within the president’s camp.
