The Trump administration is engaging in preliminary discussions regarding the next phase and format of potential peace talks with Iran, as the conflict enters its fourth week. This development comes amid signals from President Trump that the military campaign is nearing its conclusion.

According to reports, U.S. Envoy Stephen Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are involved in discussions concerning a potential diplomatic path forward with Iran.

Sources indicate that Iranian demands include a ceasefire, guarantees against a resumption of hostilities, and compensation.

An American official suggested there may be room for negotiation regarding the return of Iran’s frozen assets, stating, “What Iran calls compensation, we might call the return of frozen funds. You’ll see several ways to phrase it.”

Regarding U.S. Demands, the official said, “We want commitments from Iran, including no missile program for five years, and no uranium enrichment. We also require the dismantling of the Natanz, and Fordow reactors, and strict external oversight of centrifuges.”

Another American official, speaking anonymously, stated, “We have contained Iran and believe Tehran will approach to the negotiating table.”
