Construction firm Shandong Road & Bridge has announced significant progress on the expansion and renovation of Morocco’s École hassania des travaux publics (EHTP), a leading engineering school. The company reports the completion of the main structural work for the first phase of the project.

Specifically, Shandong Road & Bridge confirmed the completion of the structural elements for five student residence buildings and a dedicated pavilion for visiting dignitaries. This milestone marks a key step forward in the university expansion project, and will improve student and faculty housing.

According to the company, the completed structures will “allow for a noticeable improvement in the conditions of accommodation for students and academic staff, while raising the overall level of the educational environment.”

Shandong Road & Bridge emphasized that construction adhered to strict safety and quality standards, complying with all relevant Moroccan technical regulations. The firm noted that despite the challenges of international construction projects – including increased coordination demands and tight deadlines – teams maintained a steady pace through rigorous organization and consistent commitment. “Despite the complexity of construction sites abroad, marked by increased coordination requirements and tight deadlines, the teams maintained a sustained pace thanks to rigorous organization and constant mobilization,” the company stated.

The next phases of the project will proceed in an orderly manner, with the goal of delivering a final product that meets all specified technical requirements. The company stated that the project’s advancement “will allow for a noticeable improvement in the conditions of accommodation for students and academic staff, while raising the overall level of the educational environment.”
