Samsung is bringing AirDrop-like functionality to its Galaxy S26 series, streamlining content sharing between devices through Quick Share. This move reflects a broader industry trend toward seamless interoperability, aiming to simplify the user experience across different platforms.
The rollout of the feature begins on March 23, 2026, starting in South Korea and expanding to other regions including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Initially, the AirDrop support will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 line, with plans to extend compatibility to additional devices at a later date, according to reports from Android Central.
