Never placed a bet before? Are you not a specialist in racing or betting? Don’t panic, here are some keys to help you with your predictions.
1. What is Quinté+?
In Quinté+, the goal is to find the first five horses in the race. It’s the bet that enjoys the greatest success because it offers the biggest winnings. It involves a weekly jackpot, to be shared among all bettors who have found the first five horses in the exact order. We see generally offered on Sundays, the day of the most prestigious meetings. The Quinté+ takes place once a day on the best race of the day. It features the best horses and incredible suspense.
2. What do the odds mean?
They represent the horse’s chances of winning and are calculated based on the total amount of stakes. The odds allow you to know the most played horses. A favorite horse will have low odds (e.g., 1.5). By betting on it, your chances of winning are high but you risk winning little. Conversely, a little-played horse will have high odds (e.g., 35). It’s an outsider and, by betting on it, you have less chance of winning but it will bring you big winnings in the event of victory.
3. How to play?
You have three different ways to choose your horses:
Some bettors play their numbers randomly, sometimes according to the name or color of the horse. The smartest trust the spOt system. With this intelligent technique, no need to know anything about racing. The horses are selected automatically based on the bets placed by other players. It is possible to let spOt choose all the horses in the bet or to only ask it for a part as a supplement in a bet prepared by yourself.
The player chooses to bet on favorite horses. They can include some outsiders in their bets to potentially increase their winnings. The basis of this method is the odds. All that remains is to decide whether to seize risks or play it safe.
Some players are specialists who know the world of racing very well. They are interested in the horses, jockeys and trainers. They place their bets based on a multitude of criteria. They spend time at the racetracks and study the race to establish their predictions. A turf expert, a true strategist, weighs risk and reward. These specialist stakes provide an important contribution to the spOt selections and vary the odds.

4. Information about the races

R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 correspond to the races of the day. These are called “meetings”, which is why we use the “R”.
The number under the R indicates the number of races per meeting taking place that day. Example: meeting 1 (R1), there are 8 races scheduled for the day. The Quinté+ race is the most prestigious, it takes place once a day at 1:45 PM, generally in R1.
C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C8 indicate the races of the day chronologically. For each meeting, there can be up to 8 races per day.
- Information on horses and odds

The color of the jacket (in orange) allows you to identify the horse’s owner.
In red, you have the name of the horse
The number (in brown) indicates the horse’s odds at the time you are on the site. The higher it is, the less interesting it is in terms of betting. Conversely, a base rate is a great sign and means that the horse is a favorite but the winnings are lower.
The identifiers (A) or (B) indicate that two or more horses belong to the same stable.
Framed in pink, you will find the name of the jockey.
The music refers to the horse’s ranking in previous races (D = disqualified). The results are in descending order: from the most recent to the oldest races.
