Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen underwent a successful operation on his arm Monday, the club announced.
Osimhen sustained the injury during Galatasaray’s Champions League match against Liverpool, and subsequent examination revealed a fracture. The Turkish club confirmed the successful surgery was performed by Dr. Yener İnce at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital.
“Our player, Victor Osimhen, who was injured during the away match against Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, underwent a successful operation today by our club doctor, Op. Dr. Yener İnce, at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital,” the team statement read. “We wish our footballer a speedy recovery and return to the field.”

Osimhen is expected to miss upcoming Süper Lig matches against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, Kocaelispor, and Gençlerbirliği. Galatasaray will be hoping he recovers in time for the highly anticipated clash with Fenerbahçe in the 31st week of the season.
This season, Osimhen has been a key contributor for Galatasaray, directly participating in 26 goals in 29 appearances across both the Süper Lig and Champions League – scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists.
