Toby Alderweireld’s Impressive Home: Inside the ‘Komen eten’ Reveal

Soccer star Toby Alderweireld is trading the pitch for the kitchen in the upcoming Belgian cooking competition, “Komen Eten.” The athlete, who earned the Golden Shoe award in 2023, will be facing off against three West Flemish cooks, according to Voetbalkrant.

However, Alderweireld is upfront about his culinary skills – or lack thereof. “I have nothing to do with cooking, I can’t do it, I love going to eat,” he stated candidly in an introduction to the show. The former professional footballer reportedly sought advice from a chef friend and had his wife assist with table setting.

While his cooking may be a perform in progress, Alderweireld is eager to showcase his impressive home. He’s “incredibly proud” to give viewers a tour of his villa during the program, the report notes. This glimpse into the personal lives of athletes continues to be a popular trend in reality television.

Joining Alderweireld in the kitchen are Elodie Gabias, Manu Van Acker, and Bart Tommelein. Gabias will compete on Tuesday, followed by Tommelein, who hails from Oostende. Van Acker, also originally from Oostende but now based in Antwerp, will conclude the series.

Alderweireld’s participation in “Komen Eten” follows a growing pattern of athletes venturing into entertainment projects, broadening their appeal beyond their sporting achievements. TVvisie confirms the competition will observe the four celebrities battle it out with their cooking skills.

Fans can also get an exclusive look inside Alderweireld’s home through Play.tv, where he offers a preview of his stunning property.
