On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Health Promotion and Community Empowerment team from the Buleleng Regency Health Department, in collaboration with the Buleleng Regency Communications and Information Office, conducted a public health outreach campaign throughout the Buleleng sub-district. The campaign focused on free health checks, rabies awareness, and prevention of Dengue Fever.
This outreach initiative aimed to increase public understanding of the importance of early health detection through free health check programs, raise awareness about the dangers of rabies, and strengthen efforts to prevent and control Dengue Fever within the community. Public health campaigns like these are crucial for preventative care and reducing the burden of infectious diseases.
In addition to the outreach campaign, the team also provided support and training to the Banyualit Posyandu in Kalibukbuk Village. This support focused on monitoring and evaluating Posyandu activities and strengthening the capacity of community health workers.
Monitoring and evaluation revealed that the Banyualit Posyandu was generally operating effectively. All six required Posyandu record books were available and maintained in an orderly manner. Minor improvements were noted in the cash book, which will be addressed by the health workers.
The team also assessed the competencies of 25 Posyandu health workers, including their skills in using anthropometric tools. The assessment showed that all health workers had completed digital literacy training and were classified as ‘Intermediate’ level workers.
Recognizing the innovative work of its health workers, one Banyualit Posyandu worker will represent Buleleng Regency at the 2026 National Posyandu Jamboree. This worker was selected for their innovative approach to waste management and the development of supplementary feeding menus at the Posyandu.
Through these outreach and support activities, officials hope to maximize the role of Posyandu health workers in improving community health and strengthening preventative health efforts at the village level.
