Iran-Israel Conflict: New Attacks & Diplomatic Efforts Emerge

Tehran. Fresh clashes between Iran and Israel unfolded Tuesday, as diplomatic efforts emerge to de-escalate a regional conflict that has sent shockwaves through energy markets. The escalating tensions add another layer of complexity to an already volatile geopolitical landscape.

Images captured by Afp showed streets littered with debris early Tuesday in Tel Aviv, where rescue teams were attending to four individuals injured following a bombardment in a northern neighborhood.

The attack caused significant damage to the facade of a three-story building, according to an Afp journalist on the scene. Later in the day, a man, a woman, and a baby were injured in southern Israel, rescue workers reported, in an area where police said fragments of intercepted projectiles fell.

Negotiations are proving difficult, with uncertainty surrounding who represents Iran at the table. U.S. President Donald Trump stated Monday that he is in communication with an unnamed Iranian “leader,” and set a five-day deadline before resuming strikes.

However, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, firmly denied any ongoing talks with Washington. “There are no negotiations” currently underway, he stated on X, insisting that Trump is attempting to “manipulate financial and oil markets.”
