Prototypes of the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan have been spotted in France, Poland, and the Netherlands, suggesting the updated model may reach the European market sooner than initially anticipated, according to autoevolution.com.
Xiaomi has openly discussed plans to expand into the European market, and this move could occur earlier than the previously estimated timeframe of 2027.
Several prototypes of the SU7 electric sedan have already been observed on European roads, most recently in France, Poland, and the Netherlands. The Chinese manufacturer has a track record of exceeding its own goals, raising the possibility of a launch even this year.

Xiaomi unveiled the updated version of the SU7 model on March 19. The electric sedan now features an improved platform, based on an 800-volt architecture available across all trim levels.
This change represents a departure from the previous facelift version, where the high-voltage battery was only available on the top-tier Max variant. The model also received ultra-fast charging capabilities and improved efficiency.
The Xiaomi SU7 has already proven successful in China. Following the opening of pre-orders in January, the model accumulated over 100,000 reservations in just two weeks.
Approximately 34 minutes after the launch of the latest SU7, Xiaomi had already recorded 15,000 orders. The company announced its intention to begin sales in Europe next year, despite production limitations.
The SU7 could turn into Xiaomi’s first model marketed in Europe, with a launch potentially occurring before 2027.
What we have is supported by the fact that Xiaomi has already been observed testing prototypes of the updated sedan. In February, two test vehicles were spotted in Amsterdam.
The model is equipped with an advanced autonomous driving system, based on end-to-end artificial intelligence, called Hyper Autonomous Driving (HAD).

Xiaomi SU7 positions itself as a more accessible alternative to Tesla, particularly compared to the Model 3. In China, the electric sedan launched by Xiaomi starts at approximately 30,000 euros, whereas a Tesla Model 3 has a higher starting price, typically exceeding 40,000 euros in the European market.
