Reservations open today, April 9, 2026, for the return of the “Fragrant Gathering Bread” lunch buffet at the Kowloon Shangri-La. The limited-time event, scheduled to run from May 1 to May 10, 2026, follows a series of highly successful bread-focused offerings at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.
For HK$268 per person (subject to a 10% service charge), guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat selection of more than 10 varieties of artisanal handmade breads. The menu features a diverse range of options, including a new Japanese curry bun, a mentaiko baguette, salt croissants, lobster egg salad toast, and sourdough paired with honey and cream cheese.
To complement the bread selection, the lunch buffet includes a fresh salad bar and a rotation of curated Japanese soups. The experience is further elevated with unlimited servings of BACHA Coffee.
Dining guests also have the option to upgrade their meal with a la carte main courses and desserts, with prices starting at HK$18. Premium additions include sea urchin cream pasta for HK$88 and a Japanese hamburger steak for HK$58. Dessert options include Japanese caramel pudding for HK$28 and Basque cheesecake for HK$18. These additions must be ordered and paid for directly at the Lobby Lounge during the meal.
The hotel has implemented a strict booking policy for the event; reservations must be made in advance via the Shangri-La boutique online store, as walk-ins will not be accepted.
The return of the lunch buffet underscores the hotel’s strategy of using limited-time, themed culinary events to attract food enthusiasts. This May iteration follows a February breakfast buffet that featured over 20 types of bread, as well as an Easter-themed lunch buffet that ran from March 27 to April 12, 2026, which introduced a Japanese fresh melon Danish.
