‘Invincible’ Season 4 Set for March 2026 Premiere, Lee Pace Joins Cast as Grand Regent Thragg

The highly anticipated fourth season of Amazon Prime Video’s animated superhero series Invincible will arrive in March 2026, and actor Lee Pace has been cast as Grand Regent Thragg, the formidable leader of the Viltrumite Empire.

The premiere date was revealed today alongside a new teaser trailer, continuing the tradition of previous season teasers featuring Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible, in a Burger Mart setting. The trailer showcased a character model sheet of Thragg, signaling the adaptation of the pivotal “Viltrumite War” storyline from the original comic book series. This storyline is considered a turning point in the Invincible universe, escalating the conflict with the Viltrumites to a galactic scale.

Pace’s casting as Thragg has been met with excitement from fans, particularly after his previous roles portraying powerful figures like Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy and Brother Day in Foundation. At New York Comic-Con, Pace delivered a monologue in character as Thragg, demonstrating his interpretation of the character’s commanding and imperious nature. Creator Robert Kirkman, who also writes the comic, previously indicated he envisions “roughly” eight seasons for the series, suggesting a long-term commitment to adapting the source material. Season 4 will also incorporate an original storyline centered around Damien Darkblood and his home dimension of Hell, alongside ongoing developments with the Battle Beast spin-off. Prime Video has confirmed that production is underway and that the season will balance adapting key comic arcs with introducing new narrative elements.

Production on Invincible season 4 is continuing, with plans to adapt both the “Viltrumite War” storyline and original content, according to statements from Prime Video.
