Teerthanker Mahaveer University Leadership Meets with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh – Today, October 16, 2025, leadership from Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to discuss the university’s advancements in research, entrepreneurship, and skill development.

The meeting, which included TMU Founder Chancellor Suresh Jain, Group Vice Chairman Manish Jain, and Executive Director Akshat Jain, centered on TMU’s alignment with the state’s goals of creating an industry-ready workforce and fostering innovation. TMU is actively implementing outcome-based curricula, industry-linked skilling programs, and applied research initiatives to support India’s economic growth targets for 2047. This focus on practical skills is increasingly vital as India aims to become a global economic power.

Chief Minister Adityanath praised TMU’s contributions, stating the university is “a strong pillar in the state’s journey toward becoming an education-driven economy” and emphasized its role in achieving *Atmanirbhar Bharat* (self-reliant India) and positioning India as a global leader. Akshat Jain highlighted the success of TMU-incubated startups at the 3rd Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025), noting, “Our students are not just earning degrees; they are building enterprises and becoming job creators.” The university’s early adoption of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) was also discussed, with Manish Jain emphasizing its impact on flexible learning and outcome-based education.

The discussion also covered TMU’s community engagement and cultural values, beginning with the presentation of an idol of Lord Shri Ram to the Chief Minister. Adityanath, who previously attended TMU’s convocation ceremony in March 2023, reiterated his belief that institutions combining academic rigor with social responsibility are crucial for the state’s development. Further collaboration in skill development, startup incubation, and applied research is expected to strengthen partnerships between universities, industry, and the government in Uttar Pradesh.
