Two Plymouth Township Officers Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle
Two Plymouth Township police officers were hospitalized in stable condition today after a driver intentionally injured them with a vehicle in the parking lot of a DoubleTree Suites near the Plymouth Meeting Mall, Montgomery County officials said.
Around 12:40 p.m. on October 25, 2025, police received reports of erratic driving near Hickory and Narcissa Roads, and shortly after, an officer located the suspect in the hotel parking lot. According to Thomas Nolan, deputy chief of the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, the suspect initially backed into a police vehicle and then struck an officer after they exited their car. The officer discharged their weapon at the suspect, who then fled the scene.
While the injured officer was applying a tourniquet, the suspect returned and struck the officer multiple times. As additional officers arrived, the suspect struck another police vehicle, injuring a second officer, before being taken into custody. This incident highlights the dangers law enforcement officers face in the line of duty. The suspect was treated and released from a hospital and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to a spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office.
