A major highway in the Netherlands reopened Saturday after a multi-vehicle collision snarled traffic for hours. The A28 near Eelde was closed in the direction of Groningen following a chain-reaction crash involving ten cars.
The incident was triggered by a sudden, intense hailstorm, according to early reports. The roadway was cleared and reopened to traffic after a lengthy shutdown.
