A remarkable collection of classic automobiles, largely from the 1960s, has been discovered abandoned on a secluded agricultural property in Portugal. The find, documented by a couple who share their explorations on the YouTube channel Exploring the Unbeaten Path, has sparked interest among classic car enthusiasts, and collectors.

The pair navigated the area with caution, aware of local residents, as they searched for the collection. Their exploration was complicated by rain that began to fall as they approached a dilapidated hangar, where they first spotted a Renault 4 furgón and an Austin A30. This initial discovery hinted at the larger trove hidden inside.

Inside the hangar, the explorers found vehicles seemingly frozen in time. A 1959 Vauxhall Cresta PA, once a symbol of status in Britain, was among the most striking finds. The collection likewise included a Dodge Brothers Truck from the 1930s, representing an early era of American automotive manufacturing, and a DeSoto Deluxe Special, known for its elegant design within the Chrysler group.

The discovery highlights the potential value locked within forgotten collections, as classic car values continue to rise in the collector market. A 1965 Rover P5, remarkably still containing its keys, was also located, suggesting a sudden and unexplained abandonment. Further exploration revealed an MG MGA, a classic British roadster produced between 1955 and 1962, and a Mercedes-Benz 220S, manufactured from 1956 to 1959, known for its build quality and refinement.

The state of the vehicles suggests a potential restoration project that was never completed. The explorers noted that the collection appeared to have been in the midst of refurbishment, with signs indicating an intention to return the cars to roadworthiness.
