Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – A missile attack by Iran in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi has resulted in the deaths of two people, including an Indian national, according to the UAE’s Ministry of Defense. A Pakistani national was also among those killed. Three others were injured in the attack, one of whom is also Indian, along with two Jordanian citizens.

The incident comes as five Gulf nations and Jordan have jointly issued a statement calling for an immediate end to Iran’s aggression.
The missile attack occurred in the Sweihaan area of Abu Dhabi. The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that its air defenses intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Iran, but debris from the interceptor caused the casualties and damage to several vehicles. The UAE has now confirmed the nationalities of those killed.
With these latest deaths, the total number of people killed in attacks by Iran within the UAE has risen to eleven, including three members of the armed forces. Earlier in the day, the UAE’s Interior Ministry issued a warning about potential missile attacks and urged citizens to remain vigilant.
The UAE strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as a unilateral act of aggression. The joint statement demanding an end to Iran’s attacks was issued by the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. The statement also expressed concern over alleged attempts by Iran-linked sleeper cells to destabilize the region, calling it a reprehensible act. Attack attempts also occurred in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait on Thursday.
