Norwegian Star Åge Aleksandersen Strips Down for Intimate Concert Series
Norwegian musician Åge Aleksandersen is embarking on a latest chapter in his legendary career, trading the large stage for a more personal connection with his audience. Aleksandersen, often called “Norway’s answer to Bruce Springsteen,” is launching a concert series titled “Åge alene” (Åge alone), featuring stripped-down, acoustic performances.
The series marks a departure from his long-standing collaboration with Sambandet. Aleksandersen aims to present his songs in their original form, sharing the stories and experiences that inspired them. “I’m dropping in for a chat,” he said. “After many years on the road with Sambandet, it’s time to do something else. The music has always been a part of my life – and now I want to get back to the core, to the songs as they were created. Just me on stage, the guitars, the words, and the stories – together with you.”
The artist will be performing in a variety of venues across Norway, including cultural centers, community halls, and churches. Malm, Steinkjer is one of only three locations scheduled to host a performance this spring, a location holding special significance for Aleksandersen. He played his first gig outside of Namsos at the old community hall in Malm when he was just 16 years old. The concert in Malm is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 6:30 pm UTC+01:00. More details about the event can be found here.
News of the intimate series comes after a recent performance that left audiences captivated. Steinkjer-Avisa reported on a performance where the band “played the freakin’ socks off us.”
The announcement of the “Åge alene” tour follows a previous incident where Skatval church once refused to allow Aleksandersen to play a particular song, but have now invited him back to perform it. adressa.no has more on that story. Tickets for the concerts reportedly sold out in just three minutes, indicating high demand for the artist’s more intimate performances.
Åge Aleksandersen’s move towards a solo, acoustic format underscores a growing trend among established artists seeking a deeper connection with their fanbase. The artist’s decision to revisit his roots and share his music in a more vulnerable way is likely to resonate with audiences across Norway.
