The final episode of the series “Al-Set Mona Lisa,” starring Mى Omar and Ahmed Magdy, has been postponed, Omar announced. The delay is due to circumstances beyond their control.
“A slight delay for today’s episode of #AlSetMonaliza. We apologize for the delay,” Omar wrote on her Facebook account. MBC Egypt likewise announced the postponement, stating they would reveal a recent airdate in the coming hours: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, today’s episode of Al-Set Mona Lisa will be delayed. We will announce the air date within the next few hours.”
Episode 12 was also previously postponed, prompting a formal statement from the series’ production company apologizing to viewers for the delay.
The delays to episodes of the series stemmed from the passing of Mى Omar’s father, which led to a halt in filming as she received condolences. Episode 12 and subsequent episodes, aired after that period.
The postponement of the final, fifteenth episode is attributed to delays in post-production editing. Omar completed filming her scenes yesterday, with support from her husband, director Mohamed Samy.
