The passing of Vidi Aldiano has deeply saddened the Indonesian entertainment world, including fellow artist Aldi Taher. Both men shared a powerful connection as cancer fighters, forging a bond through their shared experience.
Aldi Taher revealed a touching memory of Vidi, recalling a recent private exchange during Vidi’s treatment.
“When he was undergoing treatment, we messaged each other. I said, ‘Vidi, God willing, you’ll be healthy, Vidi,’” Aldi Taher shared with reporters on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Studio TransTV in South Jakarta. His voice was filled with emotion.

Vidi Aldiano responded to the message of support.
“He replied, ‘Thank you, Kak. Please pray for me, Kak, God willing, I’ll be healthy.’ Then I replied, ‘Preserve your spirits up, Vid,’” Aldi continued, remembering the brief but meaningful conversation.
For Aldi Taher, the exchange was more than just a greeting; it was a mutual encouragement between two people intimately familiar with the challenges of battling cancer. He expressed shock and grief upon learning of Vidi Aldiano’s death.
“We were both cancer fighters, we prayed for each other. We encouraged each other that even when tested with illness, we must remain happy, spread smiles and have a positive outlook with God,” he said.
Aldi described Vidi as someone with an incredibly positive energy. Even during their last in-person meeting, roughly three to four months ago at Vidi’s birthday, he didn’t reveal any pain. Vidi was instead enthusiastic about inquiring about the progress of Aldi’s film, ‘Bisikan Jenazah 2’.
“He was a really good person, sincere, and never looked down on anyone,” Aldi praised.
Aldi Taher paid his respects in person and spoke with Vidi’s family. He offered his deepest condolences and prayers for Vidi and his loved ones.
“God willing, Vidi is at peace. To Vidi’s wife, Sheila, I hope she stays strong. May God’s heaven be with our friend Vidi. Amen,” Aldi Taher concluded.
