What the Manufacturer Promises
Allview says this is the first city car that can be driven by 16-year-olds with a B1 license and offers a range of up to 300 kilometers.
“The battery and motor of the 4City model are covered by a 4-year or 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first,” the company stated.
Four Seats
The model features four seats and four doors. The vehicle is available with two battery options:
- a standard 16.2 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 205 km and fast charging from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes;
- an optional 25 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 300 km and fast charging from 30% to 80% in 45 minutes.
The base price starts at €12,890, excluding VAT, bringing the actual starting price to nearly €15,600, with additional costs for the larger battery and other optional features.
Real Range is Lower
However, the stated range figures are based on the Chinese CLTC standard, meaning they will be lower when tested under the more realistic WLTP standard.
Allview acknowledges that the standard battery version offers a range of 180 kilometers under WLTP homologation, although the version with the larger battery achieves 278 kilometers.
Range can vary depending on weather conditions, luggage, use of air conditioning or heating, and driving style.
What Allview Says
Visual Fan, the company operating the Allview brand, declined to officially confirm that the car is based on the 2025 Wuling Hongguang Mini EV model, or disclose the battery manufacturer.
The company stated that “we are collaborating with international manufacturers with experience in the field” for this project.
Romania, a Chinese Territory
This is not the first time Allview has collaborated with a Chinese manufacturer: its other city model, the Allview CityZen, is based on the BAW Pony model.
other companies are also employing this strategy: the Evolio B1 is also based on the Bestune Pony model from the FAW group.

The strategy is also used by larger companies: the Dacia Spring is actually built by the Chinese Dongfeng Group for Renault based on its own model, while the Mazda 6e is produced by Changan based on the Deepal SL03, and the Cupra Tavascan is manufactured in China by a joint venture between Volkswagen and local manufacturer JAC Group.
Who is the Original Manufacturer
Wuling, the original manufacturer, is a legendary name among Chinese automakers.
Founded in the city of Liuzhou, the company initiated China’s passion for small cars.
The group was established in 1982 and initially produced commercial vehicles in partnership with Japanese companies Mitsubishi and Daihatsu.
In 2002, the company entered into a partnership with state-owned giant SAIC Motor and U.S.-based General Motors.
The joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling is responsible for producing vehicles under the Wuling brand and the Baojun brand.
The original manufacturer is now Guangxi Automobile Group, while SAIC is the company that sells MG cars, pickup trucks, and Maxus vans in Europe.
In China, SAIC is the largest state-owned automaker and also owns the luxury brand IM Motors alongside Alibaba, as well as the Roewe (formerly Rover) and Rising Auto brands. SAIC also manufactures Volkswagen and Audi cars in China.
Wuling, China’s Sensation
Wuling gained fame in 2020 when it launched the Hongguang Mini, an electric city car priced at just $4,200.
It became a true sensation in China, surpassing Tesla in sales at one point and becoming the best-selling electric car in the country.

By the end of 2025, 1.8 million units had been sold. Its success was so great that other Chinese manufacturers also launched cars in this class at similar prices.
