The daughter of one of Slovakia’s most celebrated models has shared exciting news.
Fame Came Early for the Model’s Daughter
Slovak model Andrea Verešová first gained prominence as the winner of the Miss Slovensko competition in 1999. The Žilina native was just 18 years ancient at the time and hadn’t envisioned becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the region. In fact, she was entered into the beauty contest by her sister.

Verešová likewise captured the attention of television viewers, who voted for her to win the title of Miss Internet. She quickly caught the eye of hockey player Jaromír Jágr, and the two began dating shortly after her win. While the relationship ultimately didn’t last, it defied the stereotype that romances between models and athletes are merely contrived pairings. The couple dated for approximately three years.
In 2007, lawyer and businessman Daniel Volopich entered Verešová’s life. The couple married after several months of dating, and despite a 16-year age difference, they remain a stable couple to this day, representing one of the most enduring pairings in the Czech and Slovak entertainment scene.
Their family life appears equally idyllic. In the same year they exchanged vows, the Volopichs welcomed their daughter, Vanessa. Two years later, their son, Daniel Tobiáš, arrived, and both are now young adults. Vanessa, who will soon turn 19, is particularly aware of her mother’s fame.

While pursuing a medical degree, Vanessa has also been a competitive snowboarder, though a recent injury has shifted her focus. She is currently in her third year of studies, but isn’t pursuing a law degree like her parents. “I want to be a little more original and not just repeat what they did. I want to study medicine, I’m in my third year of high school, but I have to prepare – otherwise I wouldn’t be able to manage it,” she told Extra.cz, adding that her backup plan is a degree in natural sciences, as she is fascinated by science, and chemistry.
Despite forging her own path, the label of being a celebrity’s daughter remains present, even in her personal life. “Some boys are afraid, some even make fun of me. I don’t recognize what’s going on in their heads, but yes, compared to other women, it’s harder for me. So I usually don’t tell them,” she explained to Lifee magazine. However, she acknowledges that the truth will eventually arrive out. “It’s a test of fire – you see the reaction before and after, and then you evaluate whether the man is worth it.”
