Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 Update Fixes Lock Screen Clock Issue

Google released the Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 update today, resolving a frustrating bug that prevented users from customizing their lock screen clock styles.

The update, which began rolling out on 2025-10-30 02:55:00, addresses an issue introduced with the QPR2 Beta 3.1 build where all clock style options disappeared from the “Wallpaper & style” settings. The latest build restores full access to these customization features for users enrolled in the Android Beta Program. This fix is particularly welcome as lock screen personalization is a popular feature among Android users.

Build version BP41.250916.012 is available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a devices, while Pixel 7 and newer models, including the Pixel Tablet, will receive build BP41.250916.012.A1. Alongside the clock fix, the update includes general stability improvements and other bug fixes. However, some issues remain, with reports indicating the speakerphone icon continues to be non-functional on some Pixel 10 Pro XL devices, as noted in the Android Beta Program documentation.

Eligible Pixel device owners can receive the update via an over-the-air (OTA) update if already enrolled in the beta program, or by enrolling their devices. Google has not yet announced a timeline for the final public release of Android 16, but beta testing continues to refine the operating system.

  • It fixes the annoying lock screen clock bug that was preventing beta users from selecting different clock styles.

While Google has shared full release notes for Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2, users who’ve installed the update also note that it fixes the lock screen clock issue that prevented users from selecting different clock styles. With the QPR2 Beta 3.1 update, users lost access to all clock styles in the “Wallpaper & style” settings. The latest update fixes that issue, restoring all lock screen clock options.

Meanwhile, some long-standing bugs still need fixing. Several users report that the update doesn’t fix the non-functional speakerphone icon on the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

As usual, you’ll receive an OTA update for Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 if you’ve already enrolled in the Android Beta Program. If not, you can get it by enrolling your eligible Pixel devices.
