Commonwealth LNG, a subsidiary of U.S. Gas producer Katurous, has secured a 20-year agreement to supply Saudi Aramco with one million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from a proposed export project in Louisiana, Reuters reported.

David Lula, CEO of Katurous, stated that the agreement “highlights the strength of international demand for U.S. LNG and Katurous’ ability to serve global markets through its extensive relationships and capabilities.”

According to data from أرقام, Reuters previously reported in January that Saudi Aramco and Commonwealth LNG had signed a long-term contract to supply Saudi Aramco with one million metric tons annually.

The agreement also includes an option for Saudi Aramco to double the volume to two million metric tons per year.
