Arcachon-based artist Nicole Muller is showcasing a collection of roughly thirty works created from recycled materials at the Maison de quartier des Abatilles, with the exhibition running until February 14th.

Muller, a resident of the Abatilles neighborhood, draws on a diverse artistic background, having studied at the School of Fine Arts in Clermont-Ferrand where she mastered numerous techniques. Her work notably includes a period focused on batik – an Indonesian wax-resist dyeing method applied to textiles – before she returned to painting, collage, and unique “sculpture paintings.”

These recent pieces incorporate found objects like broken pottery shards and remnants from storms, reflecting Muller’s artistic philosophy. “I’m always looking to do something latest for myself; I like to step outside of my comfort zone,” she said.

The exhibition, described as varied, aesthetically pleasing, and well-constructed, is open at the Maison de quartier, located at 4, allée Touton, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Hours are 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays. More details about the exhibition can be found here.

A vernissage, or opening reception, for the exhibition titled “Renouveau” (Renewal) was held on Wednesday, February 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Arcachon.com provides additional information on the event. The exhibition runs through February 14th, 2026, as noted in this listing on JDS.fr. This exhibition adds to the growing trend of artists utilizing recycled materials to create thought-provoking and visually striking works.
