Engineers will need several days to analyze data from a recent test, and additional technical checks and maneuvers are still required, agency officials stated.
Astronauts Remain in Quarantine
The four astronauts assigned to the Artemis II mission – three from the United States and one from Canada – who began quarantine on February 15, 2026, may be cleared to proceed with a potential launch early next month. This mission represents a significant step in renewed lunar exploration, and the success of Artemis II is crucial for future crewed missions.
The mission, slated to launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, will last approximately ten days and mark the first crewed flight around the Moon in over 50 years.
NASA had identified five potential launch windows in March and had also announced six additional opportunities in April.
