Ubisoft is expanding the world of Assassin’s Creed Mirage with the release of a ample, free update for all owners of the title. The “valley of the Memories” expansion introduces roughly six hours of new gameplay, set in 9th-century Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, a region rich in historical importance and featuring diverse landscapes. Beyond new missions and storylines, the update refines core gameplay mechanics like parkour and offers enhanced customization options, demonstrating Ubisoft’s continued support for the 2023 title.
Ubisoft is offering players a free expansion to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, bringing a new region and storyline to the popular action-adventure game. The “Valley of the Memories” update is now available for all owners of the title.
Ubisoft has significantly expanded Assassin’s Creed Mirage with a substantial content drop, available at no cost to players. The Valley of the Memories adds approximately six hours of gameplay and a new narrative thread that takes place before the conclusion of the main story.
The expansion transports players to a completely new region with its own unique map. Set in 9th-century Al-Ula, the area is an ancient valley steeped in history, featuring vast deserts, oases, and imposing rock formations. Players will explore an old city, the fortress of Musa Ibn Nusayra, the Valley of Stone, and the spectacular Hegra necropolis.
This isn’t simply a sightseeing tour; the Valley of the Memories introduces new main missions, targets to eliminate, side quests, contracts, and additional activities. Basim can even acquire new tools – provided players first locate the necessary schematics through parkour challenges. Developers have also included a variation of the classic “black box” missions, with details to be discovered through stealth gameplay.
The update extends beyond the new region, as Valley of the Memories also enhances the core Assassin’s Creed Mirage experience. Parkour has been refined with the addition of a manual jump feature, allowing for more creative sequences, and a new control scheme provides greater control over lateral and backward jumps, regardless of the ideal landing spot.
A significant addition is the introduction of repeatable missions and challenges. All contracts and black box missions – from both the base game and the Valley of the Memories – can now be replayed from the Animus sequence on the task board. Each attempt can include additional conditions, such as prohibiting the use of Eagle Vision, requiring the elimination of only the main target, demanding players remain undetected, or completing the mission within a specific time limit. Exclusive rewards await those who successfully complete these challenges.
Ubisoft has also added content for players who enjoy customizing their builds. The new Engineer 2 skill allows Basim to utilize all first-level tool modifications, and each tool has received an additional third-level upgrade. Finally, two new difficulty levels have been implemented, allowing players to further tailor the challenge to their preferences.
