Baby Volcano, too known as Lorena Stadelmann, took home the award for Best Romandie Performance at the Swiss Music Awards on Thursday evening. The Swiss-Guatemalan artist blends rap and hip-hop with Latin-electronic rhythms and a punk aesthetic.
Following recent performances at the Théâtre de Vidy in Lausanne, the rising artist is scheduled to perform from March 26th to 28th at the Pavillon ADC in Geneva. Before that, she was recognized with the Best Act Romandie award at the Swiss Music Awards in Zurich on Thursday.
Zoë Më, from Fribourg, also received recognition, winning the award for Best Breakthrough. She previously represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Voyage.”
Hecht Dominates the Night
Lucerne-based pop-rock group Hecht was the big winner of the night, securing four trophies. They won awards for Best Group, Best Concert, Best Streaming Artist and Best Hit with their song “Mon Amour.” Bern’s Trauffer was awarded the prize for Best Solo National Stage Performance, while Nina Valotti was named Best Young Talent on SRF 3, the German-speaking Swiss radio station.
Miss C-Line was honored as Best Artist, and Jule X was recognized as Best Social Media Artist. Internationally, Alex Warren swept the awards for Best Hit, Best Breakthrough, and Best Solo Stage Performance. Rosé & Bruno Mars were named the Best International Group at the 2026 edition of the awards. The Swiss Music Awards continue to be a key event showcasing the breadth of talent within the country’s music scene.
