A Spanish clash is set for the Champions League quarterfinals. Barcelona and Atlético Madrid will face each other after both successfully navigated their Round of 16 ties. Barcelona dismantled Newcastle 7-2, whereas Atlético edged past Tottenham 3-2, carrying a three-goal advantage from the first leg.

Barcelona’s Camp Nou Rout. Barcelona overwhelmed Newcastle in a match that began as a back-and-forth affair in the first half before turning into a display of attacking dominance after the break.

  • The English side put the Catalan club under considerable pressure, twice leveling the score. A penalty converted by Lamine Yamal before halftime unlocked the floodgates for Barcelona’s scoring spree.

Atlético’s Resilience in London. Atlético Madrid showed grit and determination at times against Tottenham, with a strong performance from Musso in goal and leadership from Julián Álvarez upfront proving enough to secure their passage.

When are the Quarterfinals? Barça and Atlético will meet on April 8 and April 14, with the first leg taking place at Camp Nou.

  • Real Madrid will take on Bayern Munich on April 7 and April 15. The other matchups are Sporting de Portugal versus Arsenal and PSG against Liverpool.
