Trabzonspor Health Board President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Beşir released a statement detailing Batagov’s condition. “Following the Zecorner Kayserispor match, our player Arseniy Batagov experienced pain and swelling in his right knee. Examinations and imaging revealed a partial ligament tear in the back of the right knee, along with widespread bone edema in the posterior portion of the tibia. Our medical team has begun his treatment,” Beşir stated.
The injury is a blow to Trabzonspor as they navigate a crucial stretch of the season. According to reports, the team is hoping to have Batagov back in time for a high-profile derby match.
A Spor reporter Yunus Emre Sel provided further updates, stating, “Arseniy Batagov will miss the Çaykur Rizespor and Eyüpspor matches due to his injury. He is expected to be sidelined for 15-20 days, with the aim of returning for the Galatasaray match after the international break.”
