  • Schlagerstar Beatrice Egli was a guest on «Germany’s Next Topmodel».
  • She was looking for a male model for her new music video for the song «Alibi».
  • Deaf Tony convinced the casting and plays Egli’s lover.

The casting week is underway for the male models of «Germany’s Next Topmodel». This time, Heidi Klum (52) has invited a particularly special guest: Swiss Schlager singer Beatrice Egli greets the male models for a casting call.

The 37-year-traditional is searching for a model with acting talent, dance skills, and sex appeal for her new music video for the song «Alibi» – the chosen one will play her lover in the clip. The unconventional casting involves dancing to Egli’s Schlager hits and attempting to “seduce” her, resulting in an awkward silence among the male contestants.

«He made it so easy for me»

The music starts, and while some slowly dance into the background, others give it their all. Alexavius (22) is the first to approach the singer, removing his blazer and tie and draping them around her, while Godfrey quickly follows, wrapping his muscular arms around the Schlager icon’s neck. “It’s easy to flirt with such a beautiful woman,” he says, advancing to the second round along with Alexavius and three other candidates.

Tony (31) wins the competition, delivering the best dance performance despite being deaf. He immediately moves on to the video shoot, where sparks fly. “I have no inhibitions. We understand each other perfectly and are on the same wavelength,” Tony says beamingly, and Beatrice Egli is equally pleased: “I’m super happy. He made it so easy for me.”

Beatrice Egli found her appearance on GNTM “totally exciting,” as she told Blick. “Being on ‹Germany’s Next Topmodel› is something special. This energy, this pace, the many young talents, it was all very inspiring,” she says. “I love it when people are passionate about their dreams. And you can feel that in every second there!”

Choreo instead of Catwalk to the Decision

Wednesday’s episode, which aired March 4th, was all about dance: «GNTM» choreographer Nikeata Thompson (45) appears for the final coaching session before the decision. “Pay attention. We have little time. Concentration. Choreography!” Thompson calls out to the group. Some of the men are worried. “Choreography? I can’t remember things like that,” complains Yanneck (24). Alexavius fears: “I can pack my things right away.” Godfrey explains: “I’m totally disoriented.”

What is the most exciting thing about casting shows like «Germany’s Next Topmodel» for you?

Italian actor Michele Morrone (35) joins Heidi Klum as a guest judge. Instead of a runway, the models, all dressed in yellow, must perform in an empty, completely yellow room. The extra challenge: maintaining long eye contact with the jury members. Ibo starts, and receives consistently positive feedback from all three judges, moving directly to the next round.

Jill similarly advances – the new hair has boosted his confidence. Louis and Luis, who landed jobs this week, also continue. As does Alexavius. Tony, who also secured the job with Beatrice Egli, impressed the most during the walk. “I liked it,” Heidi tells him. “Super strong!” the choreographer agrees. “You were the best today,” adds Michele Morrone. Finally, seven wavering candidates stand before the jury – Vyvian and Denzel’s journey ends. Heidi bid farewell to the two male models with the decisive sentence: “I unfortunately don’t have a photo for you.”
