La Beca Rita Cetina para educación básica began distributing payments today, February 16, 2026, for the January-February period, with disbursements continuing through February 27.
Deposits are being made in stages, based on the first letter of the recipient’s last name.
Students in secondary school are eligible for a bi-monthly payment of 1,900 pesos. Families with multiple students at this level will receive an additional 700 pesos per student.
New beneficiaries who received their debit cards in January are receiving a special, triple payment this cycle, covering all three bi-monthly periods of the current school year. This amounts to 5,700 pesos for families with one eligible child.
The Beca Rita Cetina program also continues to support families previously receiving the Benito Juárez scholarship for students from low-income households.
All payments are being deposited directly into the Banco del Bienestar debit cards of eligible recipients.
The Beca Rita Cetina program remains a key initiative aimed at supporting student retention and upholding the Mexican government’s commitment to providing educational support.
