The Malayalam film Bheeshma, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan and Vishnu Unnikrishnan, is drawing positive audience reactions and is currently trending on BookMyShow for ticket sales. The film, directed by East Coast Vijayan, achieved fast-filling and houseful showings in most Kerala centers on its opening day, March 20.
Bheeshma also marks the second collaboration between East Coast Vijayan and Vishnu Unnikrishnan, following the success of Kallanum Bhagavathiyum. Divya Pillai and Ammera co-star in the film, which also features a large ensemble cast including Indrans, Unni Lalu, Shaju Sreedhar, Akhil Kavaliyoor, Senthil Krishna, Jibin Gopinath, Vineeth Thattil, Santhosh Keezhathoor, Binu Thrikkakara, Manikandan Achari, Abu Salim, Jayant Cherthala, Sohan Seenulal, Vishnu Groove, Sreeraj, Shaini Vijayan, and Smrithi Pandey.
This is the eighth film produced under the East Coast Communications banner. The story is by Anshaj Gopi, with cinematography by Ratheesh Ram and editing by Johnkutty. Ranjin Raj has composed the film’s music and background score, even as K.A. Latheef contributed music to the song “Palnila Punchiri.”
Boban oversaw art direction, while Manjusha Radhakrishnan designed the costumes, and Salam Arookutty handled makeup. Phoenix Prabhu and Mafia Shashi choreographed the action sequences. Sachin Sudhakaran provided sound design, and Vishnu Sujathan handled sound mixing. Other crew members include VFX artist Nithin Neduvathoor, colorist Liju Prabhakar, chief associate director Subash Elampal, designer Mami Joe, and stills photographer Aji Maskat. Sajith Krishnan served as executive producer, Rajeev Perumbavoor as production controller, and Pratheesh Sekhar as public relations officer. Filming for Bheeshma was completed in 42 days over a single schedule in Palakkad and surrounding areas.
