Bockie De Repper Gets His Own Frituursnack
Belgian entertainer Bockie De Repper is expanding his brand beyond music and television with a new venture into the world of fried food. He’s getting his own signature snack at frituur stands across Belgium, according to HLN.
The snack is not expected to be a traditional “kaasteentje” (cheese cube), with De Repper stating, “Het worden geen kaasteentjes” (“They won’t be cheese cubes”). Details about the exact composition of the snack have not yet been released.
This news follows similar snack endorsements for Viktor Verhulst and Gerben Tuerlinckx, highlighting the growing trend of Belgian celebrities partnering with local food businesses. The move underscores the strong connection between celebrity culture and everyday life in Belgium.
De Repper’s involvement extends beyond just lending his name to the snack. He was reportedly involved in the development process, ensuring the final product reflects his personality and tastes.
The entertainer also appears in the popular Flemish comedy series Sterregem, which premiered on VTM in October 2024. The show parodies well-known Flemish personalities, and features a cast including Erik Van Looy, Lisa Gerlo, and Walter Baele. Sterregem is available to stream on VTM GO.
Van Looy also recently appeared in an episode of “De slimste mens ter wereld” alongside Alex Agnew and Miss Angel, according to IMDb.
