Olivia Dean dominated the 2026 BRIT Awards, taking home four prizes at Saturday’s ceremony in Manchester, England. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter’s success underscores her rapid rise as a major force in British music.
Dean and Lola Young both entered the night with five nominations apiece, but it was Dean who ultimately swept the awards. She kicked off the evening with a win for Song of the Year, recognized for her collaboration with Sam Fender on “Rein Me In.”
The artist, who blends pop, R&B, and neo-soul influences, went on to win British Pop Act, British Artist of the Year, and British Album of the Year for her sophomore record, The Art of Loving.

“Making this record changed my life,” the rising star said, following her Best New Artist win at the 2026 Grammy Awards earlier this February. “This album is about love and about needing to love each other, even when the world feels like there’s no love in it.”
Sam Fender also had a successful night, winning British Alternative/Rock Act, while Lola Young took home the award for British Breakthrough Artist.
Wolf Alice were also recognized, winning British Group of the Year. The band performed at Prague’s Lucerna Hall last year and are set to appear at the Rock for People festival in Hradec Králové this year.
Several awards were presented before Saturday’s ceremony. Noel Gallagher was named Songwriter of the Year, and TikTok star PinkPantheress was crowned Producer of the Year. At 24 years old, she became the youngest and first female winner of the award since its inception in 1977.
Ozzy Osbourne received the BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award, presented in memoriam. The Black Sabbath frontman, often referred to as the “Prince of Darkness,” passed away last July at the age of 76, just two weeks after the band played their final concert in Birmingham.
“Ozzy was real, talented, utterly unpredictable and wild. He was a true artist,” said his widow, Sharon Osbourne, before singer Robbie Williams delivered a musical tribute.

In the international categories, Rosalía was selected as International Artist of the Year. “I wish to share this award with everyone who also makes music in Spanish,” she said. “Let’s continue to celebrate when someone is different, different music, different cultures, different languages.”
This year’s ceremony marked a historic shift, as the BRIT Awards were held in Manchester for the first time since the awards began in 1977.
