Head Coach Stephen Larkham has named a lineup designed to rebound from two close losses, welcoming back several players who have been resting or utilized as substitutes.
Lachie Shaw’s availability is uncertain due to illness, creating an opportunity for recent combinations within the forward pack. In the backs, Hudson Creighton will start at inside center, stepping in for David Feliuai, who is being evaluated following a head injury assessment. The Brumbies also receive a boost with the return of speedster Corey Toole on the wing, recovering from a quad injury and adding an extra dimension to their attack.
The Brumbies’ powerful tight-five – comprised of Slipper, Billy Pollard, Darcy Breen, Nick Frost, and Cadeyrn Neville – are geared up for a physical battle against the visiting Chiefs.
The backrow featuring Rob Valetini, Rory Scott, and Charlie Cale will aim to control the breakdown and generate momentum in open play.
Ryan Lonergan and Declan Meredith will resume their partnership at halfback, tasked with directing the Brumbies’ dynamic backline. Out wide, Creighton, Kadin Pritchard, Toole, Kye Oates, and Andy Muirhead provide the pace and skill to challenge any defense.
The finishers – Liam Bowron, Blake Schoupp, Tevita Alatini, Toby Macpherson, Luke Reimer, Klayton Thorn, Tane Edmed, and Austin Anderson – will be ready to close out the match and secure the victory in the final stages.
This Friday night promises a historic occasion as Slipper chases an unprecedented record in front of his home crowd. Canberra fans, don’t miss out.
