Caroline Nitter, a 27-year-old influencer from Tromsø, Norway, testified Tuesday in the trial of Marius Borg Høiby, offering a firsthand account of an incident involving Høiby and a woman referred to in media as “Frogner-kvinnen.” The case has drawn significant attention in Norway, focusing on allegations of reckless behavior and assault.
Nitter described herself as a friend to both Høiby and the woman at the center of the allegations during her testimony in Oslo District Court.
Prosecutors are focusing on an evening at the Michaels nightclub in Oslo, where Nitter was also present, as part of their case against Høiby. He faces two charges stemming from the night: reckless conduct toward “Frogner-kvinnen” and sexual assault without intercourse against another woman.
- For reckless behavior toward the woman known as “Frogner-kvinnen.”
- For sexual assault without intercourse against another woman.

Nettavisen followed Nitter’s testimony directly. Below is Nitter’s statement as reported by the newspaper:
The influencer began her testimony by stating she is friends with both Høiby and the alleged victim.
Police attorney Kruszewski asked Nitter to describe what happened at Michaels nightclub in Oslo.
“At one point, Marius came with a cookbook,” Nitter said.
“A cookbook?” Kruszewski asked, surprised.
“Yes, it was a gift for me. He was in a decent mood, but his eyes were glazed over. He wasn’t angry then, but a little ‘out of it.’”
The police attorney described Høiby’s state of mind at the time.
“Staggering, very affected. He was ‘high.’ As I know him, he was probably intoxicated.”
She further stated that she was accustomed to “these guys behaving completely crazy.”
“What do you imply by completely crazy?”
“That they use drugs, take cocaine, and things secure a little out of hand. That they fight, or…” Nitter said.
Nitter said she had only had two drinks and remembered the evening well.
– Brølte som en gorilla
Nitter then recounted her recollection of the incident where Høiby tore at his T-shirt in anger.
“He ripped his T-shirt like a gorilla. And then I laughed,” Nitter explained.
“Did he say anything when he ripped his T-shirt like a gorilla?” Kruszewski asked.
“He roared.”
“What did he roar?”
“No, just a sound. He roared.”
The influencer paused, then added:
“Like a gorilla.”
She further explained:
“I remember thinking, ‘What are you going to wear now? Are you going to go shirtless?’” Nitter said.
– Sint på kokain
Nitter testified that Høiby went downstairs to ask if anyone had left any clothes behind. Shortly after, he returned wearing a woman’s sweater that was too little for him.
“Then he actually looked like a ‘man-baby,’” Nitter said.
“Can you say something about how Marius is when he gets angry?” Kruszewski asked.
“I haven’t seen him very angry, but it’s usually connected to him having taken cocaine. That makes people angry. It’s mostly with words, really.”
“What do you mean by words?” Kruszewski asked.
“Swearing… Saying ‘that bitch,’ or other expressions.”
Kruszewski read from Nitter’s police statement, where she said Marius had called people “fucking whores.”
“Yes, I’ve heard him say that. Not to people, but about people,” Nitter said.
“Then it ‘switches,’ and he can say that she’s the most wonderful in the world and so on. So it’s very, very, very up and down,” she added.
Kruszewski asked Nitter to recount what she had heard Høiby say to the alleged victim.
“The things he has said to her are… Wishing death on someone. Calling her a whore, a bitch… All the words you can think of,” Nitter said.
She testified that she had repeatedly had to ask Høiby to calm down.

Defense attorney Mette Yvonne Larsen then took the floor.
She asked Nitter about any arguments she had overheard related to infidelity.
“That’s a recurring theme, I would say,” Nitter said, continuing:
“It’s often Marius who has told me how beautiful and wonderful N.N (the alleged victim) is, and that You’ll see many guys who want her.”
“Has that been a topic the other way around?” Larsen asked.
“I can imagine. As I know him, there’s a lot of infidelity. I can’t imagine that has changed,” Nitter said.
Larsen read from Nitter’s police statement.
“The witness does not believe it inspires trust that when you go to a birthday party, Marius has slept with 39 out of 40 women there.”
She also described him as possessive.
“Yes, he is. He’s possessive. Especially towards that type of guy in that circle. And especially when they use drugs and develop into aggressive, it becomes uncomfortable for us women to be around,” Nitter said.
According to Nettavisen’s live coverage from the court, Marius Høiby’s defense attorney, Ellen Holager Andenæs, also had a few questions for Nitter. She then left the witness stand in district court.
She finished her testimony around 2:10 p.m.
