Michael Carrick believes Manchester United possesses sufficient squad depth to maintain consistency. He emphasized the need for both strong starting players and reliable substitutes to drive the team forward.
Under Carrick’s leadership, Manchester United has demonstrated consistent form, securing six wins and one draw in his seven matches as interim manager.
These results have propelled the Red Devils up the Premier League table, where they currently sit in third place with 51 points, eight points behind second-place Manchester City.

Carrick stressed that squad depth is crucial for sustained success, noting the significant impact players coming off the bench have had on the team’s recent performances.
The English manager highlighted the contributions of players like Noussair Mazroui and Joshua Zirkzee, who have made positive impacts as substitutes, providing him with valuable options for squad rotation.
“Yes, I keep saying it, but I perceive the whole squad is vitally important,” Carrick said. “I understand some players have played more than others, but that’s not to say it will continue that way until the end of the season.”
“I think Nous, in particular, coming on as a sub, played really well. So I’m pleased for him and for us. Josh, coming back off the bench, like he did at West Ham, and having an impact… I think that’s part of it. We need everyone. We have so much talent in the squad that we can rely on when we are dominating,” he explained.
