Construction is moving forward on Oasis City, a large-scale residential and commercial complex planned for the entrance of Casablanca, Morocco. Developer Al Omrane has initiated the operational phase of the project, which is estimated to cost 1.3 billion Moroccan dirhams (approximately $127 million USD).

The project, covering 8,000 square meters, aims to create a sustainable and dynamic community for 3,500 residents. Arpio Architects won second prize in the design competition for Oasis City, recognized for its ecological and innovative approach to urban development. The award was announced on Instagram in April 2024.

Oasis City is categorized as a mixed-use development, incorporating hospitality, residential and sustainable energy solutions. Arpio Architects details the project on their website, highlighting its focus on sustainability. The initial phase of construction, valued at approximately 130 million dirhams, began in September 2022, according to reports.

The development underscores Morocco’s growing investment in modern, eco-conscious urban planning. The project received its second-prize recognition in 2023.
