Chilean Fugitive ‘Chico Perry’ Captured in Argentina Posing as Peruvian

A Chilean fugitive who escaped from a prison in October 2024 has been apprehended in Argentina, authorities confirmed. The man, known as “Chico Perry,” had been evading capture for months and was reportedly living under a false identity.

According to reports, Chico Perry was arrested after authorities discovered he was using a Peruvian passport. News outlets in Chile, including BioBioChile, identified the man as a Chilean national who had fled Colina 1 prison.

“Chico Perry” was taken into custody after a coordinated effort between Chilean and Argentinian law enforcement. La Tercera reported that he had been posing as a Peruvian citizen to evade detection.
